Why Our Impact Matters
Medical treatment outside of Lake Havasu City can bring expenses that families may not be prepared for.
Hotel stays, meals and the cost of traveling back and forth can quickly add another financial burden during
an already difficult time.
Don’t Be Greedy was created to help ease some of that burden by reimbursing qualifying Lake Havasu City
residents for lodging, meals and transportation when they must travel for needed medical care.
What it looks like

LODGING
Reimbursement for hotel expenses up to $250 per day.
MEALS
Reimbursement for meal expenses up to $50 per day.
TRANSPORTATION
Mileage reimbursement at $0.50 per mile from the recipient’s Lake Havasu City
address to the medical provider.
LOCAL RESIDENTS
Applicants must be residents of Lake Havasu City.
PHYSICIAN REFERRAL
Assistance is available when a physician refers a resident out of town for needed
medical care.
TIMELY ASSISTANCE
Applications are processed within approximately 10 days and usually sooner, with reimbursements issued bi-weekly.
